Air Conditioning And Ventilation Gas Type Brazed Heat Exchanger
A gas type plate heat exchanger, also known as a gas-to-gas plate heat exchanger, is a type of heat exchanger designed specifically for heat transfer between two gas streams. It consists of a stack of corrugated metal plates, typically made of materials like stainless steel or aluminum, that are sealed together.
In a gas type plate heat exchanger, the two gas streams flow on opposite sides of the plates, allowing for efficient heat transfer between them. The corrugated plate design creates turbulence in the gas flow, enhancing heat transfer by increasing the surface area available for exchange.
The gas streams enter the heat exchanger through separate inlet ports and flow through alternate channels formed by the plates. As the gases pass through the channels, heat is exchanged between them. The hot gas transfers its heat to the cooler gas, resulting in a temperature change in both streams.
